We advocate for a Pennsylvania state store system based on responsible alcohol policy; and, believe we provide the safest alcohol distribution system in the world with safeguards benefiting both the drinker and non-drinker alike.
ISSU members take seriously their role in maintaining safe neighborhoods and communities. Alcohol is not like other ordinary commodities. Its availability and distribution should promote the health, safety and public welfare for all Pennsylvanians while at the same time reducing associated harms.

- The latest Frankin & Marshall College Poll (November 2011) shows that 17% of Pennsylvanians say selling the state liquor stores to private companies is not the most important legislative issue for the governor and legislature to consider. The same poll shows only 5% think the most important issue facing the General Assembly is selling the state stores, while 52% say it is not.
